We met William Burroughs in 1987.  
We saw William do a reading from "Place of Dead Roads" at the Caravan of Dreams, in Fort Worth. Through books, we discovered William Burroughs paintings and target art pieces.  So in 1994, we called him up in Lawrence, Kansas and asked if we could show his art.  He invited us up and we had a lovely visit with him at cocktail hour.
We asked how he felt about his art being shown in Waxahachie, Texas and his reply was, "it's as good a place as any."
